Dr. Hannah Miller Niane

Dr. Hannah Miller Niane, Ed.D., MBA, is an education researcher, consultant, and veteran secondary educator specializing in digital equity for K–12 Title I and rural schools, as well as technology inclusion for senior communities. Her work centers on expanding access, improving instructional design, and ensuring that technology integration serves diverse learners across educational contexts.

With more than 16 years in secondary education, 3 years in educational leadership, and over two decades in management consulting and entrepreneurship, Dr. Niane brings a rare blend of classroom expertise and systems-level strategy. She partners with schools, districts, and organizations to implement equitable technology practices, strengthen educator effectiveness, and advance student-centered learning across remote, blended, and face-to-face environments.

Her research focuses on the realities of rural remote learning, examining barriers such as access, readiness, and implementation conditions. Through both scholarship and applied leadership, she has contributed to advancing digital curriculum adoption, aligning instruction with workforce-relevant skills, and supporting educator development through mentoring and coaching. Her work reflects a consistent commitment to closing opportunity gaps through practical, scalable solutions.

In addition to her research and consulting, Dr. Niane is an active contributor to the broader education community through publications, presentations, and professional service. She is a lifetime member of the National Alliance of Black School Educators and has held leadership roles across multiple community and professional organizations. Her work continues to bridge research, practice, and innovation in pursuit of more equitable and effective learning systems. She is a distinguished fellow in the Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurial Research.Â
